Dungeon Settlers is a dark fantasy strategy game developed by CanOpener and published by CanOpener and WhisperGames. As the leader of an expedition sent by the Guild, you establish a settlement in barren land while preparing your people to explore and ultimately conquer the dungeon responsible for the surrounding calamity.
The settlement and dungeon systems feed directly into each other. Farming, production, research, crafting, food, shelter, equipment, rations, and camping supplies support expeditions, while resources recovered from deeper dungeon floors help the settlement and its members grow stronger.
Design rooms, provide food and shelter, farm crops, operate workshops, manage resources, research technologies, and produce the supplies required for future expeditions.
Recruit settlers with different races, backgrounds, personalities, traits, abilities, talents, and stats, then develop them through levels, equipment, and specialized skill trees.
Combat runs in real time but can be paused whenever needed. Positioning, timing, enemy patterns, skill combinations, and effects such as stun, bleed, burn, provoke, and vulnerable shape each encounter.
Dungeon floors and rooms change between expeditions, regions can apply different environmental effects, and deeper exploration offers increasingly valuable resources alongside greater danger.
